Cheryl Dunlop Molin: Author, Editor, Speaker

New Photos! So far this year I've shot about seven thousand photos(!)--and obviously I haven't put anything close to that on this site. My husband and I have taken quite a few trips; I have learned to photograph butterflies, have taken many landscape photos, and have made several photo books for us to enjoy. I've also added about 20 favorite photos to the "fun photos" page. As always, I avoid posting photos of people online, but "fun photos" has new pictures of butterflies, birds, landscapes, and more.

If you've come to this site, that probably means you're a writer or a reader--or both, like I am.

From the time I was a little girl, I knew I wanted to be a writer. In first grade, I won a reading contest by reading 100-some books in one month (156, I think). Today I love making other people's writing sparkle.

This site has been up and running for a few years now, with tweaks here and there, though a few links on the FAQs page are still not working, so on that page you might want to choose the link that has all the questions in one form. I am looking at starting a blog, since I think that will allow more opportunity for interaction and posting commentary.

The last two years I have been busy settling in to a new home . . . and learning how to be a wife and stepmother. After forty-some years of singleness I'm married to a really good man, and stepmother to some very precious young adults. I'm working on updating this site.

Late last year my husband and I spent some time in the Smoky Mountains. This little guy (below) decided he liked me, or my finger anyway. He's a red-spotted purple. And yes, it's probably a "he." Many species of male butterflies seek out salt (sweat, damp patches of soil) because they need salt to be able to reproduce. (See more photos from the Smokies on the "fun photos" page.)
